When I was asked to record this album I didn't hesitate, I immediately called Enrico Rava (this experience also might have been predestined!). Enrico is the only trumpet player in the world who could have reinterpreted the way he did this great music of the Italian Cinema; his sound, his poetic and ironic vein have made this work really unique. Thanks Enrico. And thanks also to Stefano Bollani and Roberto Gatto that I consider the most "suitable" musicians for this job.
