ROBERTO GATTO
He was born in Rome and started playing drums at a very young age. He quickly became very successful so as to be considered the best Italian jazz drummer. Today he has professionally matured and reached a personal style which takes into consideration the great tradition of "drumming" in the history of jazz. In addition to playing with the great names of jazz such as Lee Konitz, Chet Baker, Bob Berg, Tommy Flanegan, Joe Zawinul, and Joe Lovano for many years he has been leading his own famous group, recording numerous records with guests artists such as Michael Brecker. He is also a soundtrack composer. Lately he joined the band of popular Italian performer, Pino Daniele.
